IDCE2013 Announces International Call for Presentations

The International Disaster Conference & Expo (IDCE) is currently accepting presentations for speaking opportunities in its second annual conference program, taking place January 08-10, 2013 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.   Interested parties are asked to submit presentation abstracts and relevant speaker / presentation information through the IDCE Presentation Submission Portal which can be found on the IDCE website www.internationaldisasterconference.com/presentations.html.  The portal will be open from Wednesday June 20 through Friday July 13, 2012.

The purpose of IDCE is to unite public and private sector industry leadership to create global discourse regarding lessons learned, best practices, forward thinking, and policies and procedures which shape the landscape of Emergency Management, Homeland Security, First Response, Business Continuity, Resiliency, and all aspects of Disaster Preparation, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation on a global scale.  Policy and Education are the focus of IDCE.  Presentations submitted for consideration should be in line with this purpose.
IDCE has secured the participation and/or endorsement of some of the most internationally recognized associations, agencies, and organizations serving the industry today, including FEMA, International Association of Emergency Managers, National Emergency Management Association, Association of Contingency Planners, Business Continuity International, Restoration Industry Association, Natural Hazard Mitigation Association, International Association of Venue Managers, and more.  Numerous speakers are scheduled to be on hand from around the world representing numerous governments from the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and more.  A full list of organizations supporting and participating in IDCE2013 can be found through the event website at www.idce2013.com.

Presentations submitted may be considered for publication in one of three industry journals associated with IDCE.  These include the Domestic Preparedness Journal, International Journal of Risk and Contingency Management, and Journal of Emergency Management.   Information regarding journal requirements, policies, and procedures are published on the IDCE2013 website Abstract Portal: www.internationaldisasterconference.com/presentations.html.  Those interested in journal review for publication may also contact IDCE Show Management for additional information.

Presentations for the IDCE2013 program will be selected by the Event Executive Committee (EEC).  Selection to present at IDCE2013 does not affect the decision of associated journals to publish material, and publication of material through associated journals does not affect the decision process of IDCE conference selections.  Questions regarding the conference program should be directed to show management through email: management@internationaldisasterconference.com.
