Ferrara is widely known mostly for its Heavy Duty Fire Apparatus, but since Hurricane Katrina we saw a need for other emergency apparatus for a more diverse customer base. Reaching out to Law Enforcement through state and local Sheriffs and Police as well the Office of Homeland Security we now offer Command trailers, Command Vehicles, Bomb Squads, Swat Units, Dive Rescues, Rehabilitation Trailers and Vehicles , Mobil Labs and DUI offices, Decontamination Units and more. Ferrara will have our latest Mobile Command Vehicle on display at this year’s IDCE. Built for West Baton Rouge Office of Homeland Security out of Port Allen, LA Director Deano Moran had the insight to use grant funding to develop a vehicle that all the agency’s in his Parish could use, Fire , Police, Sheriff, Homeland Security and 911. Please stop by booth 1208 and take a tour of this fabulous piece of equipment.
